Max Homa Co-Leads Masters After Two Impressive Rounds

Homa, a California native, is the only player to shoot in the 60s in both rounds so far.

Homa is a four-time winner on the PGA Tour, including the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship.

Max Homa walked up to the beginning of the most famous three holes in golf alone. He had just birdied the 12th hole, and he was now standing on the tee box of the par-3 13th hole at Augusta National Golf Club. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the crowd was roaring. Homa took a deep breath and hit a perfect shot that landed on the green and rolled to within a few feet of the hole. He made the birdie putt, and the crowd went wild.

Homa's birdie on the 13th hole was just one of many highlights in his second round at the Masters. He shot a 3-under-par 69, which moved him into a tie for the lead with Scottie Scheffler. Homa is the only player to shoot in the 60s in both rounds so far, and he is now the favorite to win the tournament.

Homa is a 32-year-old California native who won the NCAA Division I men's golf title in 2013 as a senior at the University of California, Berkeley. He turned professional in 2014 and has won four times on the PGA Tour, including the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship.

Homa is known for his aggressive style of play and his infectious personality. He is also one of the most popular players on the PGA Tour. If he can win the Masters, it would be a major upset, but it would also be a very popular victory.
